The Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk is an annual community event that brings people together to raise awareness and funds in the fight against hunger, supporting local hunger-relief programs as well as the global efforts of Church World Service. For the 45th Annual Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk, I entered the organization’s T-shirt design contest and was honored to have my emblem selected as the winning design. My artwork became the official T-shirt design for the event, giving me the opportunity to contribute my skills to a cause that makes a meaningful impact both within the Greensboro community and beyond.
From a design perspective, the project challenged me to create an emblem that could represent the mission of the CROP Hunger Walk while also feeling approachable, recognizable, and community-focused. I wanted the design to communicate the spirit of people coming together for a shared purpose while remaining bold and simple enough to work effectively on a T-shirt. Seeing the finished design move beyond the screen and become something worn by participants throughout the event was especially rewarding, and having my work selected to represent the 45th annual walk was an honor and a meaningful milestone for me as a designer.
